We were delighted to welcome the The Irish Farmers Association to Thomond Park Stadium on Tuesday 10th January for the Farming & Climate Summit with over 450 attendees on the day.

It was a very informative event covering a number of topics, opportunities and challenges facing the agri-industry in Ireland as well as emphasising the importance of protecting Irish farmers livelihoods. 

Speaking at the event IFA president, Tim Cullinan said, 

“IFA recognises the climate chllange. Our Members are keen to play their part. However, the Minister must be in no doubt that it cannot be at the expense of their livelihoods.” 

Minister for Agriculture, Charlie McConalogue delivered the keynote address with other notable addresses and discussions from Tadgh Buckley, IFA Director of Policy/ Chief Economist, Paul O’Brien, Chair of IFA Environment & Rural Affairs Committee, Thia Hennessey, Head of the Department of Food Business & Development, UCC, Frank O’Mara, Director of Teagasc.
